Life is constantly changing and presenting us with new challenges. Many of us struggle to adapt and can experience increased stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, depression and more during these times. Sometimes we are already carrying old wounds from the past that make our struggle even harder. If you choose to do individual therapy, I will work with you to help you process and make sense of your experiences both past and present so that you can recover your sense of equilibrium and return to emotional well-being.
Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) in couples counseling, I help couples to strengthen their secure connection to one another. I work with them in the marriage counseling process to understand and meet each other's attachment needs and longings.
I work with adult family members who are seeking to repair family conflicts, work through a life transition together or simply deepen their connection to each other.
Ever been told, "But you don't look sick? Ever been stared at for parking in a disabled spot? Ever been told it's all in your head and you're probably just depressed?
It's hard enough when you have pain, fatigue, brain fog and other invisible symptoms. Being invalidated for being sick makes it so much worse and can lead to feeling like nobody gets it.
Having lived through this experience, I get it. That's why I make space in my practice to help people who live with persistent Lyme disease, lupus, Sjogren's syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome and many other invisible or poorly understood illnesses.
