About Jen Siladi, lmft

Would you like to start enjoying your life again?

You remember a time when you didn’t experience anxiety, relationship problems and exhaustion all the time. But those days feel like a distant memory now. Don’t you wish you had the tools to change that?

Jen Siladi, LMFT

you’ve come to the right place

Being here means you’re ready to make a change.

I‘m Jen and I help adults and couples just like you. People who are longing to overcome anxiety, stress, burnout and relationship problems and feel relaxed, restored and reconnected once more. You just need a little extra support to get you there.

How I work

I believe that to change yourself, you first need to understand yourself.

When we work together, the focus will be on exploring how your past influences your present. Most of us move through life unconsciously, using a variety of coping strategies that may have served us very well in the past, but may be holding us back in the present. Examples of these might include avoidance, people-pleasing, or over-working.

In sessions with me, we will discover what your coping strategies are and where they originated from. Then we will work on healing that wounded part of you, so that you can release the old strategies (such as people-pleasing) and replace them with better ones (such as healthy boundaries).

Therapy with me is…

  • Everyone is different. That's why I tailor my approach to fit your particular needs. I am always open to feedback about what approach works best for you in therapy.

  • It matters a great deal to me that you feel supported during our sessions, so I take a gentle and curious approach to our work together. I will nudge, but never push. If we are working through difficult emotions, we will do that just a little at a time, to avoid overwhelming your nervous system.

  • You are a whole person, not just a therapy client. When we work together, I will encourage and support you in attending to your overall wellbeing, such as your physical health, social connections etc. If you have a passion for yoga because it helps you reduce anxiety and sleep better, I'm all for that. • If your goal is to focus only on rational thought and never explore emotions, then we may not be a good fit. My approach acknowledges the importance of both. Thoughts and emotions both influence behavior, and part of my approach is to uncover the deeper, sometimes unacknowledged emotions.
