  • Online therapy gives you the flexibility to attend an appointment from any location in California, Delaware, Vermont or Florida. All you need is a private space, free from distractions, and a decent wifi connection on the device of your choice.

I am licensed in the state of California and also registered as a telehealth provider with the states of Delaware, Florida and Vermont. Therefore the clients that I treat must also be located in one of those states at the time of service. I cannot conduct a virtual appointment to clients in a different location unless that state's licensing board grants temporary permission. Rules for providing international therapy will vary by region. For more information about out-of-state telehealth providers in Florida, please click here. https://flhealthsource.gov/telehealth/

  • During the first appointment, we will spend 15 minutes or so on practical matters. I will briefly go over a couple of legal and ethical considerations and practice policies and address any initial questions you may have. All of the information is also contained within the intake paperwork that you will have received and signed before the first appointment.

We will spend the remaining time in the first session discussing what brings you to therapy at this time and what changes you are seeking in your life.

  • No, my practice is fully online and there is no in-person option available.

  • My current rate for a 50-minute individual or couples session is $200. A 50-minute family therapy session (adult family members only) is $225.

  • My cancellation policy requires a 48-hour notice via email, text message, or via your client portal. Appointments canceled less than 48 hours before your scheduled appointment will incur the full session fee.

  • That depends on many factors, including your presenting issues, your therapy goals and your level of engagement with the process. On average, clients stay in therapy from a few months to a year or more. You are under no obligation to attend any particular number of sessions and you can end therapy whenever you like. All I ask is that you do your best to attend consistently throughout the process.

Weekly therapy is my general recommendation for most clients.
